Dub Pressure

Brighton's Dub Pressure crew host a one-off special at Cabaret Voltaire on 25 October, satisfying the growing appetite for dubstep, with special guest Rusko (Dub Police/Tempa/Sub Soldiers).

The back room is going to be very wrong and very scary indeed, with d&b, breakcore and mash-up business being on the menu from Ed Cox, DJ Stivs, Ghost (all from the Life4Land collective) and Edinburgh's own legendary Tekamine on the decks. Not for the faint-hearted.

It's part of a swarm of dubstep nights to be appearing in Edinburgh over the next few weeks, and in fact we think it might be the first taste of dubstep to blast the bassbins at the Cab. So let's hope the sound system can handle it.

The capital's dubstep and grime faithful should no doubt have already made dates in their diaries for the Edinburgh debut of Skream at Volume at The Bongo Club on Friday 12 October, and Wiley, also at The Bongo Club, for an early live show on Friday 19 October.
