Ultragroove is 8

Eight years old and still going strong, Ultragroove celebrates its birthday in November at Cabaret Voltaire with a headline live set from Elektrons, the new alter-ego of the Unabombers.

Manchester's finest are in town to promote their new album Red Light Don't Stop - "a melting pot that incorporates the finest contemporary British sounds, from East End grime MCs to Northern sulphuric soul and futuristic disco, but informed by the great traditions of Britain's underground club culture over the last 30 years, from rare groove to acid house", according to DJ Magazine.

Elektrons are supported by an accompanying DJ set from the Unabombers themselves, a DJ set from Chicago's Justin Long, and of course resident Gareth Sommerville. Plus, Edinburgh's Firecracker Recordings' Mr Todd and Fudge Fingas in the back room. This is one house party you shouldn't miss.
