Cab's third room opens to the sound of Audio Bullys
Cabaret Voltaire opens a brand new third room this week. The new room is currently taking shape in a previously unused storage room at the Cab, at street level, and will be opened at this month's Sugarbeat.

With the space cleared and ready for seats for 120 people, video screens and a soundsystem, it finally gets its launch this Friday night under the name 'Speakeasy' (inspired by the U.S. Prohibition era, not the Shed Seven track).
The new room is a quieter space away from the main part of the club; you'll be able to book a table in advance, get table service all night, and guarantee a seat for the whole evening. Images and a sound feed from the main room will be relayed to the Speakeasy, so one won't have to miss out on what's happening downstairs.
Sugarbeat has the honours of opening the new room this Friday, with a live set from Audio Bullys, plus DJ sets from Stereo MCs and residents Utah Saints, and a special surprise guest appearance; seemingly it's not been officially announced, but stuff elsewhere on the web says it could well be Roisin Murphy, ahead of her tour stop at Glasgow's ABC on Saturday.
The Cab's new room follows in the footsteps of Berlin, which opened its own third room earlier this year.
Friday 30 November, Cabaret Voltaire, Edinburgh. £12.
